Pictured here is Rebel, a 15-year old Schipperke mix, with his owners Elizabeth Holman and her children Houston and Angele. The Schipperke was originally bred in Flanders as a boatman's dog to guard the boats. They were also traditionally considered a shoemaker's guard dog. They are friendly, but protective of their environment. In his retirement years, Rebel likes to walk outside and watch cars pass. He also can be seen many times enjoying riding on a Polaris Ranger ATV with his owners, entertaining onlookers. The Holmans are the owners of Ranchland Tractor and ATV in Saucier, Mississippi. |
